Uncle Ryano Sets the Dance Floor on Fire With His Catchy New Release “Twerkin’ With a Twang”

The veteran and founder of Bottle Rocket Records returns just in time to bring us more feel-good summer tunes.

Following the success of his adrenaline-pumping track “Run Wide Open,” Uncle Ryano is set to release an even more electrifying summer anthem.

Growing up in the birthplace of blues and rock and roll, his music fittingly reflects the cultural melting pot of the Deep South. Although he took a brief hiatus to focus on his family and those close to him, his new, humorously named release “Twerkin with a Twang” shows that this talented artist hasn’t skipped a beat.

Anyone who’s heard of Uncle Ryano knows what music means to him. Although he has an extraordinary musical talent, rather than solely focusing on his successes, he constantly tries to uplift his contemporaries.

To this end, he founded Bottle Rocket Records, a project that came about because of his belief in creating spaces where artists can shine together rather than as lone stars. With an underlying joy for music that seeps into everything he does, Uncle Ryano remains one of the most entertaining and exciting names in the industry.

Uncle Ryano’s latest release, “Twerkin’ With a Twang,” proves that the beloved artist is returning with a bang. Co-written with the legendary Billy Ray Cyrus, “Twerkin’ With a Twang” is a fun, tongue-in-cheek invitation to let loose and get on the dance floor.

The release sees Uncle Ryano combine backwoods country and raw rock and roll influences to make an irresistible, toe-tapping celebration of everything music and fun. If the chorus doesn’t get you hooked, Uncle Ryano’s cheeky delivery will, and don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing along on the way. And if you find yourself hooked, “Twerkin’ With a Twang” also comes with a vibrantly animated music video; what’s not to love?

With a joyful approach to music that swells into every one of his releases, Uncle Ryano is poised to pick up right where he left off. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Uncle Ryano’s latest release, “Twerkin’ With a Twang,” now on all majour streaming platforms.

Welcome to Buzz, Uncle Ryano! We loved your new release, so we wanted to ask! What was the creative process like for “Twerkin’ With a Twang” and the accompanying music video? You mentioned co-writing the record with Billy Ray Cyrus, right?

Like most of the best things I do, this song was an accident. We were discussing replacement lines for an older song of mine, and the funny phrase TWERKIN WITH A TWANG, just popped out. We both laughed, and I thought it could be a song all on its own. A few hours later, it was! Billy is an awesome guy and a great guy to collaborate with. He kept pushing me to come back for a number of months, and I appreciate him for that."

How does it feel to be back from hiatus? Did you feel rusty, or did you get right back into it? It sounds like you didn’t skip a beat!

I expected both rust and dust, but there really wasn't any. It's like it was always waiting patiently. I have been a little older, uglier, and heavier since I retired due to my love affair with both Waffle House and Popeyes Chicken. I'm working my way through "the breakup" now and moving towards a more photoshoot-friendly diet.

What inspired you to take that initial step to seriously pursue music, and what motivates you to make music now?

In the beginning, I truly just wanted to push myself and see if I was good enough. So many need the adoration or to be validated. I get validation from the person I try to be daily, and through this, I can have a positive effect on people. If there's adoration, it's from me to those who love the music. Everything I do is for them". My wife and daughter love what I'm doing, and if others do as well, how could I not do it? It also allows me to mentor and work with younger artists while helping them avoid the struggles and traps I fought through.

What do you think is the most important quality for a musician to have?

Maintaining these perspectives- An open heart and mind. The ability to be grateful for hard times because, looking back, these are usually the best times. Show those who travel with you how your life is better because they are with you

What’s next for Uncle Ryano, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?

We are getting ready to roll out the "Song About Us" video. It took ten years to write, and it was a one-on-one conversation between me and the listener. It's not a song about me; it's a song about us! We are playing the House Of Blues in New Orleans on August 23rd and beginning to discuss tour dates for next year. We currently have the music video for "Sicario" in production, and (2) 6-song EP projects underway. One is the old-school country that I love, and the other will blow speakers out of your car! I guess I still carry "Abel Kane" inside me still, to this day.

To the listeners, I will say, Thank you for being my investors each time you stream and download the music, thank you for being a shareholder each time you purchase clothes from the online store, thank you for being a true believer and wingman while we make this up as we go! You make this all so amazing.
