Canadian R&B, soul, and pop recording artist Rawle started off creating and releasing music in 2010 and hasn't stopped since. Before moving, Rawle toured across the U.S. and Canada which would later get him recognized. This encouraged him to move to Los Angeles to pursue his musical aspirations further.
He then quickly began booking shows in Hollywood, including the pre-show performances for the BET Awards. His EP, which covers much ground such as heartbreak, understanding, and overcoming triumphs, also features singer Melanie Amaro, winner of the first season of The X Factor USA.
Rawle pours his heart out on the first track on his album titled, 'Find My Way.' His emotional lyrics describe how he stumbles at the bottom of his mountain, trying to find his way to success. Rawle feels as if he is at the edge of glory, but the journey to it has been so strenuous that it has taken everything out of him to keep on holding on. The journey hasn't been easy for Rawle as he sings about motivating himself to just take the next step, the bravest thing anyone could do.
"Find My Way" is such a beautiful song for all the dreamers striving for greatness, as delivered in one of the many motivational lyrics like, "When you dream a million dreams, only you can make them real," Rawle stresses the virtue of fighting for one's dreams, no matter what the world says about them.
Rawle presents the most angelic vocals to make "Find My Way" a satisfying and emotional listening experience. "Find My Way" is motivating and inspiring, and the eye to detail production is the icing on the cake.
Welcome to BuzzMusic Rawle! We're so happy to have you with us today! You have such a strong message in "Find My Way." What would you say your best moment was upon creating it?
Thank you so much for having me! Creating "Find My Way" really was an ah-ha moment for me. I wanted to be authentic and to be as real as I could because I realized that is the best way to inspire others. My best moment came when I just let go of who I thought I had to be and what I thought I had to say and just began writing the words and creating the melody. It brought me so much peace and healing during the process.
As "Find My Way" interprets someone "finding their way," what other message would you like your listeners to take away from the record?
I would like listeners to also take away that we are all on this journey we call life and the best moments of our lives are in front of us. We do not need to know the way; we just need to keep moving forward taking it one step at a time.
Many artists find it hard to express their emotions on a record, what is it that you do to connect to your creative self?
It is not always easy for me either. But I just have to remove my ego. I notice when I say to myself “this is not about you, Rawle, but the listeners and fans,” That helps me be humble so that I can be vulnerable enough to create music that will move someone to dance and smile cry or heal.
What's next for you?
What is next for me is performing, collaborating, and networking with other artists, brands, and companies. I would like to go on tour to showcase myself to bigger audiences and grow my fanbase. I am also actively working to secure some TV and movie acting roles as well.
