Southern California-based indie rock outfit Pale Rider is set to release their sophomore album, 1to0, on February 28 via Coming Home Records.
Known for their seamless genre-blending and atmospheric soundscapes, the band continues to explore the depths of human experience through their music. To mark the occasion, Pale Rider has launched exclusive new merch, including a limited 12” vinyl of the album, alongside pre-save options on Apple Music and Spotify. Fans can also stream the new single, “EyeSwoon,” now on YouTube and Bandcamp.
Originally the solo project of singer-songwriter Rus Martin, Pale Rider evolved into a full-fledged band in 2023, with longtime friends and seasoned musicians joining forces. Alongside Martin, the lineup includes Thomas Kraus, with contributions from Jon Santana and Joe Ramos.
Their collective experience, spanning multiple groups across major and independent labels, lends 1to0 a depth and cohesion that pushes their sonic identity further. The band’s previous singles—“Until We Meet Again,” “Tonight Is Ours,” and “Your Faces”—will also be featured on the upcoming album.
Produced by the band, engineered and mixed by Jon Paz Gale, and mastered by Nick Bassett (Nothing, Deafheaven), 1to0 delivers an expansive, emotion-driven sound that refuses to adhere to conventional songwriting rules.
Pale Rider channels the raw energy of '90s shoegaze and ambient rock, crafting immersive, harmony-laden tracks that explore love’s highs and lows. Their latest single, “EyeSwoon,” encapsulates this ethos perfectly—its blend of melancholic introspection and soaring instrumentation invites listeners into a dreamlike space of reflection.
With 1to0, Pale Rider further cements their reputation for creating evocative, genre-defying music. As anticipation builds for the album’s release, “EyeSwoon” offers a glimpse into a record that promises to be both deeply personal and sonically expansive. Stream the new track now and prepare for the full album drop on February 28.
