Welcome to BuzzMusic, Modifyd! We loved “You’ll Witness,” so we had to ask! How much did you draw from personal experience and your own life on this release, and how much do you try to integrate those experiences into your music?

This was my first time back in the studio after going through open heart surgery eight months ago. The motivation to get up and get back to what I love inspired this song. You'll witness it for those witnessing a blessing in itself and getting back into bringing the creative sounds to the fans. Most of my music is from some type of personal experience, and this one has been key as it's restarting my career. 

What inspired you to make the leap to making music seriously, and what inspires you to continue making music now?

I was always fascinated by the power of music to evoke emotions and create connections. Leaping to take music seriously was a natural progression of my passion. The inspiration to continue making music comes from the endless possibilities of creativity, the joy of self-expression, and the opportunity to connect with others through shared experiences and emotions.

Who were your biggest musical idols growing up, and which artists do you like now?

I was always drawn to many different genres of music, from the Isleys, Kenny Loggins, and the Beatles to Jay Z, Kanye West, and Busta Rhymes. So, to answer your next questions, I would say I am still consistently listening to those same artists. 

What do you want listeners to feel when they hear your music? Do you have any advice for aspiring musicians?

I want listeners to feel a range of emotions when they hear my music, whether it's joy, nostalgia, contemplation, or inspiration. My goal is to resonate with people on a personal level. For aspiring musicians, my advice is to stay true to your unique voice and vision. Be open to experimentation, embrace failure as a part of the learning process, and never stop honing your craft. Stay passionate, persistent, and open-minded, and remember that success in music often comes from a combination of talent, hard work, and perseverance.

What’s next for Modifyd? Can we expect to hear more new music soon? Is there anything you want to say to your fans?

Next is a block of new singles and a few music videos released this year. This will lead to another album release. After that Modifyd is going into the composing world and building the next level of orchestras.

Lastly. I want to thank all the fans who have been down since the early 2000s and have stayed in my corner. We have a personal connection and will continue to grow on this journey.
