Hip-hop’s greatest strength lies in its ability to tell real stories—raw, unfiltered, and deeply personal. Lab Spitta, a seasoned rapper with over a decade in the game, taps into that authenticity with his latest release, Cold Nights. A track that drips with emotion and hard-hitting lyricism, Cold Nights is more than just a song—it’s a testament to perseverance, struggle, and survival.
Lab Spitta is known for his ability to fuse introspective storytelling with infectious beats, and Cold Nights is no exception. The song paints a vivid picture of late nights spent reflecting on hardships, navigating personal battles, and pushing forward through the storm. The haunting production perfectly complements the weight of the lyrics, creating an atmosphere that is both immersive and thought-provoking.
With a flow that is both calculated and effortless, Lab Spitta lays down verses that capture the essence of resilience. His storytelling is gripping, weaving through tales of ambition, struggle, and the lessons learned along the way. The production on Cold Nights adds to its impact, blending atmospheric melodies with deep bass and crisp percussion, making it a track that sticks with you long after the beat fades.
Lab Spitta’s artistry is rooted in truth and experience. Tracks like Ignorant Too and Keep the Piece have showcased his ability to deliver thought-provoking content, and Cold Nights continues that legacy. Released under Grand Gang Management, this single further solidifies his position as a force in modern hip-hop, one who remains dedicated to telling real stories that resonate with listeners from all walks of life.
Cold Nights has such a raw and personal feel. What inspired you to write this track, and what message do you hope listeners take away from it?
Cold Nights was the first single I released from the album “Street Cert 3.” It’s also kind of like my welcome back song after being absent from the game for 4 years I just felt like it was time to challenge my pen and go against the current style of music you hear today my music doesn’t come with dance, but the message is simple don’t go the route you see others going you can still enjoy what you to do in your own style and fashion be yourself always.
Your music often blends deep lyricism with modern production. How do you balance staying true to classic hip-hop while evolving with today’s sound?
For me, staying in touch with the current sound you hear today is not really a tough task. I listen to all genres of music, and I’m always tapped into the streets. I just funnel everything I’m hearing and translate it into my own style and language.
You’ve been in the game for over a decade. How has your approach to music changed over the years, and what keeps you motivated to keep creating?
I believe I’m comfortable where I’m at with my music, so for me, it’s about giving back to the game and teaching what I learned since being in the music business my pages is open to the public so anybody can tap in if they working I’m motivated daily by hungry artist ready to reach that next level.
Grand Gang Management has been a strong part of your journey. How has working under this label helped shape your career and artistic vision?
That’s the back bone of my music career to be honest with that label it’s no me where I’m from a helping hand is hard to find and when you do find that helping hand you gotta keep a eye on they other hand cause people be having some many tricks up there sleeves it makes difficult to trust anyone but Grand Gang Management always took great care of my family, my music and me so I’m thankful for the team.
If you could describe Cold Nights in just one sentence, what would it be?
Cold Nights is forever, but how you dress the night is all on you. Take care.
