I hope listeners will feel confident after hearing Ghost. Confident in the sense that you’re able to move forward from a difficult situation or relationship and walk away with your head held high.
You’ve known that music is your passion since you were young, but what inspired you to be so involved with music from such a young age?
Honestly, singing is all I ever wanted to do. Even before I knew it was a career, I was always singing and humming. I went to my first concert at 3, to see Hillary Duff. I cried because I wanted to be on stage singing with her! Then I started doing musical theatre when I was 6.
“Ghost” is an incredible track! What can you tell us about the creative process for this song?
Well, unfortunately, I was “ghosted" by this guy that I had a crush on. It was a terrible feeling. So I started writing about it, and the result was this song. So now I guess it was worth it!!
How would you say your music now compares to the music you curated when you first started out in the music industry?
My music is constantly evolving. As I grow up and experience new things and have new relationships, I learn more about myself and that translates into the type of music I make at the time. My music now is definitely edgier, and I find my lyrics becoming deeper and more meaningful too.
