Welcome back to BuzzMusic Kaotic! It’s such a pleasure to be catching up with you! You’ve had an impressive year, to say the least. What accomplishment are you most proud of thus far?
2019 was definitely my best year to date since starting music! I released my first studio album at the beginning of the year, released my first music video in March, did my first two shows out of state down south during the summer, locked in some new partnerships, and got my following on Spotify specifically to 5 thousand and only getting higher! I don't think I could pick an accomplishment that I am most proud of. I just feel really good about how this year has gone it has been really good to me and I am really excited about the momentum I've got going into 2020!
With a few years of making music under your belt, we would have to imagine your sound has changed and evolved with time. How would you say your music now compares to the music you curated when you first started out in the music industry?
It has changed but has also stayed the same. A lot of it has to do with where I was in life when I first started in the industry where I am now. I've also learned a lot in terms of making music and have been able to progress in so many different ways. I would say if anything that sounds the most different is I sound a lot more grown-up and aware of who I am and who I want to be.
How do you set yourself apart from other hip-hop artists today?
Instead of doing what everybody else is doing I try and do something completely different. I want to have my own sound, style, delivery, and the way my songs sound.
We absolutely love your latest release! What predominant message was integrated within "Remedy"?
Thank You, honestly, this is probably one of my favorite songs I've done if not my favorite. Music is everything to me in terms of listening, writing, recording, and performing. Making music while being myself and giving it everything I have. I never want to let anybody down or myself and that I will do everything to make sure that never happens.
You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into their lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Unstable” ft. Ryan Palma?
The lyrics in the song are everything to me, its the best part of making music in my opinion. I love playing with words, metaphors, different flows, and cadences. Unstable was about as I'm getting further into this music industry and realizing just how shady and deceiving it can be, and then saying what I think about it and how I will still go about doing it my way and not the way everybody else is doing it.
Thank you so much for talking with us about your new projects and the creative process. What's the next move for you artistically?
No doubt, I'm always down to do this. My new music video for Remedy will be dropping October 30th which was shot at Redwall Studios in San Jose by Rock Crown Productions huge shout out to both of them! I'm currently working on my upcoming album "Confrontational Means" which will be dropping next year in February. Who knows what else I'm up to for the rest of this year so I would suggest people pay attention because who knows what's coming!
