Isabella Chiarini Refuses To Be Swept Into Your Games On “All Alone”

The Hamilton native is taking a stand for herself and her love.

With an astounding ear for catchy melodies and a versatility that’s enabled her to keep her sound unique and fresh, Hamilton-based singer-songwriter Isabella Chiarini has become the perfect example of the good things that happen when you combine genuine love for music with natural artistic ability.

Treating music like a healing outlet from life’s pressure, adversity, and challenges, Chiarini’s transparent and relatable lyricism has allowed her to forge genuine connections with her listeners and build a dedicated fanbase quickly. Chiarini has gone from strength to strength, and with new music on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.

It should come as no surprise that someone so dedicated to music was exposed to it at an early age. Chiarini got her first taste of music expression when she was 8, taking singing lessons with renowned Canadian vocal coach and author Teresa Nocita. This would be the catalyst to the beginning of a grand musical journey that would see Chiarini participate in singing competitions and auditions and even be noticed and signed to Nashville-based development out print PCG Universal.

Having continued her partnership with Nocita in addition to having the 2007 winner of Canadian Idol, Brian Melo, in her songwriting corner, Chiarini has positioned herself to continue her meteoric ascent and stamp her legacy on a highly competitive scene.

“All Alone” is many things. The release feels chic, defiant, and magnificent, but it also shows the continued growth and maturation of an artist who is just hitting her stride. Crisp production forms the basis for an immersive instrumental performance.

Glossy guitar grooves and enticing snares line the track up before Chiarini’s vocal performance knocks it out of the park. Lines like “Won’t keep dreaming about the man I think you could be / I need to think of myself and let you go so I can heal” are delivered with a conviction that gives you chills, and you can’t help but root for her. In all a wonderfully cohesive performance back to front on “All Alone,” Chiarini continues to show why she’s one of the industry’s brightest talents.

We loved “All Alone.” You really knocked it out of the park with this one! We had to ask, what was the inspiration behind this release?

The inspiration behind “All Alone” was a toxic relationship. I was going through a rough patch with someone I really care about and sat down with my co-writer/vocal coach Teresa Nocita and told her about the situation, which is how this song was born. I wrote it about what I was feeling and, by the end, came to the realization of what I needed to do to resolve the situation and move forward.

You mentioned that you frequently collaborate with your mentors, Teresa Nocita and Brian Melo. What’s it like having them in your corner, and how have they influenced your growth as an artist?

Having Teresa and Brian in my corner has been the biggest blessing to me. I have known them both since I was eight years old, so I feel super comfortable and have very good connections with them. Teresa is not only my vocal teacher/ co-writer, but she is like a mom to me. She has helped me in every aspect of life, which has been amazing. Brian is a great advice giver and mentor, which is super helpful.

As a musician, what’s your favorite part of the creative process when you make new music?

My favorite part of the creative process is receiving the first draft of the newly recorded song from the producer. There is all this anticipation from the hours you spend writing, recording, and editing, so it is very exciting when you finally get the product of all the work. If your audience could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be?

I like to leave my music up to the listener's interpretation. Whatever the listener is needing to hear at that time, whether it be advice, joy, or even if they need a good cry, I hope they can find what they need by listening to one of my songs. What’s next for Isabella Chiarini? What plans do you have coming up on the horizon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans?

I will be in the studio at the end of August to record a new single that I will be releasing by the end of the year. I also have a few shows coming up, the closest one being at the Winona Peach Festival in Ontario, Canada August 26th.
