Hatty Keane’s latest single is titled “Man About Town” and showcases Hatty Keane’s talents as a soul songwriter and musician. On this track, Hatty Keane collaborates with producer Steven Williams (Ure/Stansfield) resulting in this retro vintage pop track. In the year of 2019, it
has become increasingly difficult for an artist to find their place and identity in the music
industry, which is something the Hatty Keane has under her belt. Hatty Keane’s music is best described as a quick tempo retro soul and hooks stemming from jazz.
The song starts with an introduction of piano chords and rhythmic clapping keeping
temp. Harmonies of ‘oos’ add to the retro feel throwing it back to the harmonies of the 50s while
Hatty Keane declares her independence as a woman and possesses the strength to carry on her own.
Contrary to the social norms of way back when, Hatty Keane’s song possesses a woman
empowerment that aligns with today’s views of women and treatment of them as well. Hatty Keane’s vocals are on point giving enough angst and belts getting her point across blatantly. The bridge really connects the rest of the song giving a resolution to her powerhouse vocals and lyrics.
Hatty Keane has definitely brought a new sound to the music industry and is ready to gain momentum by releasing more records and performing in a live setting.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey I'm Hatty Keane :)
Can you give us a brief history of your musical career?
I signed with independent music company BGM back in 2011 and we have been working tirelessly since then writing, doing show after show and trying finding the artist within me! We've been through a few genres along the way but I'm now firmly planted in Cinemtic Soul and ready to release my body of work.
Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?
Yes I do. A lot of it is fantasy, my mind is good at conjuring up stories. I love to tell stories in my songwriting and hear them come to life with the music.
We’re really into your new song! Can you tell us a bit about it?
Man About Town is an anthem for women. The male character thinks he is something of a James Bond and the lady in this tale isn't going to sit around and wait at home for him. Its empowerment.
Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
I have this image of a 1950s James bond galavanting around the South of France.
What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you?
I am an introvert, I don't eat animals and I love Harry Potter!
Any upcoming shows? For someone who hasn’t seen you live yet, how would you describe your performance?
Yes I'm doing quite a few shows in London at the moment, I would say my live show is energetic, empowering and slightly theatrical.
What’s next for you?
A series of releases this year paired with videos that tell the stories behind the songs.
