I've been working on a couple of collaborations and working on a new album.
What do you believe needs a makeover in the music world?
I think that independent artists should get the same privileges as mainstream artists. I am tired of hearing the same artists on the radio. I think it should be a fair game and not be about money. More about your body of work.
Is there anything that you would like to master?
I would love to be able to play the piano.
If you could do a duet, with anyone, living or not, who would it be and why?
Nina Simone. She was a force to be reckoned with. She was an amazing musician who spoke her truth. She understood the hard work that it takes to create music. She demanded that people listened to her while she performed. She was also a great activist for the greater good.
Do you have a favorite musical movie?
West Side Story. I believe that it is the greatest musical of all time. I was honored to have been friends with David Winters (he played A-rab) on Facebook before he died in 2019.
