Based in Los Angeles, AUS10—pronounced “AUS” like Australia and number 10 (you’re welcome for saving you from an awkward convo later)—is an emerging hip-hop artist who’s turning heads with his raw storytelling and hands-on approach to music production.
This isn’t just another rapper trying to make it big; AUS10 is a one-man powerhouse, handling every aspect of his music—writing, producing, mixing, and editing—entirely on his own.
The Album: A Therapy Session in Disguise
While the title of his debut full-length album is still under wraps, its themes are crystal clear. This deeply personal and relatable project explores universal topics like mental health, heartbreak, resilience, and personal triumph. AUS10 isn’t afraid to lay it all out, creating a body of work that’s equal parts vulnerable and empowering.
Tracks like "Trauma” (we’re guessing on the name, but hey, it fits) unpack the kind of pain most of us bury deep, while others—think uplifting bangers like "Rise Up" (again, just spitballing here)—feel like a pep talk from your wisest, most hype-worthy friend. It’s this balance of raw emotion and fire production that makes his music not just relatable but downright addictive.
Why AUS10 Stands Out
What sets AUS10 apart is his ability to blend vulnerability with pure talent. As a fully independent artist, he’s taken creative control of every element of his craft, and it shows. His authenticity shines through in every beat and bar, creating a connection with listeners that feels deeply personal. He wants listeners to draw strength from life’s challenges, using his experiences as proof that resilience and triumph are possible. In his own words, he hopes people walk away from this album “feeling stronger, wiser, and more prepared to face their own journeys.”
AUS10’s debut album isn’t just music; it’s a movement. This project blends raw storytelling, killer beats, and a hands-on creative process that showcases his talent and dedication.
Whether you’re here for the emotional depth or the infectious energy, one thing’s for sure: AUS10 is an artist you don’t want to sleep on.
Your music explores deeply personal themes like mental health, resilience, and heartbreak. What inspired you to be so open and vulnerable in your songwriting, and how has that impacted your creative process?
My music is a reflection of my life and experiences. I’ve always believed that true artistry comes from authenticity, so it felt natural to write about deeply personal themes like mental health, resilience, and heartbreak. These are universal struggles, and by being open about my journey, I hope to connect with people who might feel like they’re going through it alone.
Being vulnerable in my songwriting has been both a challenge and a gift—it forces me to dig deep and confront emotions I might otherwise avoid. But that honesty fuels my creative process, allowing me to craft lyrics and melodies that truly resonate. In the end, it’s about turning pain and growth into something meaningful that others can relate to and find solace in.
As a fully independent artist who writes, produces, mixes, and edits all your music, what have been the biggest challenges and rewards of taking full creative control?
Taking full creative control as an independent artist has been both empowering and demanding. The biggest challenge is the sheer amount of work it takes to wear so many hats—writing, producing, mixing, and editing all require different skill sets and a lot of time. Balancing the technical side with the creative flow can be tough, and there’s always the pressure to maintain high quality across the board without a big team to rely on.
But the rewards make it all worth it. Having complete creative freedom allows me to bring my vision to life exactly how I imagine it without compromise. Every song becomes a true extension of who I am as an artist. Plus, knowing that I’ve built something entirely on my own is incredibly fulfilling. It’s not just about the music—it’s about proving to myself that I can do this independently and still make an impact
Your upcoming debut album dives into some of life’s toughest experiences. Was there a particular moment or story that you felt you absolutely had to capture on this project?
By the grace of God, up to this point, I haven’t experienced any close personal loss, aside from relationships not going how I would have wanted them to go. The moments I captured on the album are deeply rooted in real-life experiences. If there was a specific moment or time that truly spoke to me, then you’ll definitely hear it on the album. It’s all about being honest with where I am in life, and every track reflects a part of that journey. I want listeners to feel like they’re experiencing it with me, relating to those raw emotions and the lessons that come from them.
You’ve mentioned that you want listeners to feel stronger and more confident after hearing your music. Can you share an example of how your own music has helped you overcome a personal struggle
Absolutely. Most songs i wrote & write even to this day are refining my character, building my confidence and sharpening my resilience because while being spiritually conscious, whatever didn’t kill me made me stronger as a result. Creating tracks like these becomes a way to process those emotions positively and constructively and remind myself why I started this journey in the first place. I find myself thinking deeply in the writing process as if I’m having a conversation with myself, pushing me to keep going and embrace the resilience I know I have within.
By the time the song was finished, it felt like I had lifted a weight off my shoulders. Listening back to it gave me the same strength and confidence I want others to feel when they hear my music. That experience reminds me how powerful music can be—not just for listeners but for the artist as well. It’s a reminder that we’re all capable of rising above challenges, and I hope my songs inspire others to do the same.
With the hip-hop industry constantly evolving, what do you think makes your sound and approach stand out, and what message do you hope to bring to the genre?
What makes my sound stand out is the way I blend raw storytelling with innovative production. I focus on creating music that feels authentic and timeless, but I’m not afraid to experiment with unconventional beats and melodies to give it a fresh edge. My approach comes from a place of honesty—I’m not trying to follow trends; I’m focused on staying true to myself and making music that resonates on a deeper level.
As for the message, I want to bring a sense of empowerment and self-awareness to hip-hop. My goal is to remind people of their strength and resilience, no matter what life throws at them. Hip-hop has always been a voice for the unheard, and I aim to use my platform to uplift, inspire, and connect with others who are navigating their own struggles and triumphs.
