Welcome to BuzzMusic, Evanthia! We loved “The Deep End," what an amazing song for a debut single! We have to ask, what was the inspiration behind this song? Were you drawing from personal experience?

Thank you so much for having me! The Deep End is a raw love song. We get into a relationship, and as things develop, we aren't sure or wonder if the other person shares the same connection. It's super vulnerable and also shows the struggles of real-life relationship feelings. For me, it's about knowing whether or not the other person is catching the same feelings. Do they love me? Do they feel we are moving forward? That's the great thing about music. It can tell a story one way to one person and another to the next.

What made you decide to pursue music professionally?

I have always had a passion for music. I started taking voice lessons when I was 12. Looking back to even when I was very young, I have always loved to sing and perform. Music is a way to connect to people on a different level. In 2018, is when I started focusing on my guitar skills. Together, the two helped me work toward becoming the artist I wanted to become.

What do you want to achieve with your music, and what’s been your favourite musical memory thus far?

For me, it's about connecting to my listeners. I want to be able to show them my authentic self. To show them I am real and go through the same things they do. So far, my favourite performances have been at The Bluebird in Nashville, TN. This is an iconic venue. All the greats have played there. Just knowing that adds so much drive to my dreams.

How would you describe your music to people who haven’t heard it before?

This is a great question. I think music is universal and can be heard by everyone differently. We all have a story. I want my music to be received as honest and vulnerable. I also love the process of being a storyteller, and this is the creative side that drives me.
