Escaping the Everyday: Kelsey and Lisa Bring Love and Light With 'Takin’ It Easy'

After a chance encounter that sparked undeniable musical chemistry, Kelsey and Lisa became inseparable, captivating audiences across South Carolina, Georgia, and beyond with their dynamic performances. Now, with their debut album, On Island Time, they invite listeners to soak in the carefree pleasures of Caribbean life.

With their single, “Takin’ It Easy,” Kelsey and Lisa offer a taste of pure, beachside bliss. The song is a warm invitation to escape, where love and sunlit shores wash away life’s worries. Written by country music icons Billy Sherrill, Mark Sherill, and Lacy J. Dalton, “Takin’ It Easy” brings soft steel drums, mellow guitar riffs, and easygoing beats, crafting a soundtrack that feels like a perfect day on the sand.

The lyrics capture the magic of letting go with someone special as Kelsey and Lisa sing about escaping to a place where the world feels a little lighter. Their voices, woven together in smooth harmony, embody that lighthearted love, trading verses with a natural chemistry that feels playful and heartfelt.

The duo filmed their music video in Key West, Florida to bring the song's message to life. Director Fabian Alicastro captures stunning scenes of crystal waters, palm-lined beaches, and colorful local bars, all adding to the track’s carefree feel. Watching Kelsey and Lisa sing along sunlit shores, you can’t help but feel the freedom and joy of their island-inspired world.

“Takin’ It Easy” is the perfect anthem for anyone dreaming of a day spent in the sun, far from the hustle, with love in the air.
