Welcome to Buzz, Dave Luv! We love the smooth and dreamy vibes of your new single, "Stunna." What inspired you to create this tune?

It really just kind of happened; there was no planning involved at all. I was in Miami working with Onassis, and he made the beat, and I wrote the song in one session. We knew it was something special from the second the first line went down.

Can you tell us about your collaboration with producer Onassis Morris? How did he help shape the sound of "Stunna?"

He’s a genius, and working with him has been an absolute blessing to me. He’s got awesome energy and has become like a big brother to me over the years as we’ve continued to work and become closer as well. As far as Stunna goes, he made the beat in an hour at most. We were going through samples, and he found this one that was super bouncy. we agreed it sounded cool, so we started there, and 5 hours later, we had the record. On top of being a world-class producer, Onassis is also a phenomenal recording engineer, so physically being in the studio with him is always an incredible experience.

What was it like shooting the "Stunna" music video with director Nicholas Jandora? What vision did you two want to bring to life?

Nick is one of my favorite people that walks the face of this earth, and if anyone reading this ever gets the chance to meet him they’ll understand why. He’s incredibly down to earth despite his accolades, and we have very similar personalities, so the two of us work together seamlessly. I give Nick complete creative freedom to do his thing with the visuals because he always has a perfect vision. The song is about how I do my own thing, and the video is me living completely in my own world, so it all fits together quite nicely.

The lyrics in "Stunna" touch on themes like success and staying true to yourself. Why is it important for you to convey these messages in your music?

Everyone has their thing, right? I know who I am, and I know who I want to be. Something that many people fail to realize is that it really doesn’t matter what people think of you. The most important thing at the end of the day is being happy with who you are and where you’re at in life, and if that means needing to take the road less traveled and maybe walking alone for a little bit- that is okay. When you find your inner peace and are truly happy, it becomes something no one can shake, and I think everyone deserves to feel that in their life.

What do you hope listeners feel when they hear "Stunna?" Is there a particular feeling or message you want to leave them with?

Whatever it is, you got it. Don’t worry about everyone else. They may not see the vision on the first brushstroke, but by the time the painting is complete, they often fall in love with the art in front of them.
