Welcome to BuzzMusic Daud Aur Yahudy! Tell us a bit about your upbringing and background. Who do you recall as your early inspiration for your music?

My upbringing was centered around a religious background, mainly based upon core principals of faith and believing in oneself. I come from a very athletic background where my siblings all played sports on a collegiate level. When I was young I used to sing around the house all the time, hum my favorite songs, and make up melodies. But, I did not take the next step to really find myself until I was finished with professional sports.

Let’s talk more about your music! What inspired you to write the single “Ahab”?

Ahab is based upon a commitment not only towards Yah but to a person in a relationship. what inspired me to write the song was my own experiences throughout life and hearing and seeing relationship break apart just by misunderstandings The song is based upon the commitment to break down the barriers of one's self and get to the root and really get to know someone before taking the next step and not base it just upon the physical. some fall into the trap of an initial emotional high of Love and blinds them from true love; which starts after the high wears off. We are all broken in some way but the pieces cant be put back together unless there is the love of the process and that takes patience and empathy.

What were some challenges you faced during the creative process of your record “I Do”?

The challenges I had was incorporating the rhythm and soul of myself, and matching the instrumentation of the track and emotion. In the end, I felt it turned out pretty well. I especially love the end where I say ''all my life I've waited for you''.

How would you detail the arrangements in “Ahab” and “I Do”? What are some main differences between both records?

Ahab was based upon a tropical open space of freedom and vulnerability. When you listen to the track you hear the wind blowing against the trees. It was all based on the instruments, the inflections of sounds with matching the voice to produce a more individualized approach more like a journey receiving a gift in the end.

Were there any new elements you experimented with in “Ahab” or “I Do”?

There were no experiments. I'm being who I truly love, and the process from the start to finish.

What are you looking forward to in the new year Daud Aur Yahudy?

I'm looking forward to more growth within myself and others; I'm looking forward to the songs that will be released. I think the next coming year will be grand and I'm thankful for every moment that's given by Yahuah.
