Big Venti’s “By the Way” Brings A Fusion Of Electro, Hip-Hop, And R&B Genius

The LA artist pulls out all stops on this captivating new release.

Big Venti is a rising star in the industry based in LA. Known for his mastery of slick trap rhythms, infectious synth melodies, and an unforgettable vocal flair, he's made waves with his rare ability to skillfully blend the best elements of EDM, Hip Hop, and pop. Through his hard work and creative talents, he has forged a distinctive and captivating sound that blurs the boundaries between genres, delivering an exhilarating listening experience that leaves a lasting impression on listeners. Having already put himself on the map with his highly acclaimed debut album "Party Hills," Venti's hot streak continues with his new album "By The Way," seemingly sure to follow up his earlier success as he continues to push his artistry to greater heights.

"By The Way" is, in many ways, a celebration of the artist and person Venti has become. A captivating album in every sense of the word, Venti pushes his signature blend of pop, hip-hop, and R&B to even greater levels, wrapping each track in melodic electro production that pulses with rhythm and allure. The journey begins with the titular track, "By the Way," serving as an introduction to something that feels great and exciting. The vocal and instrumental performance set the exuberant yet also humble base for the good things to come, and it feels like "By The Way" is brimming with endless possibilities. Venti's upbeat production and grateful and self-conscious lyrics keep the good times rolling on releases like the standout second track, "Sunset Strip," and the fourth track, "Coachella." Venti's on cloud nine, keeping the vibes high as he drops bars like "On the sunset strip, went so hard for a life like this" and "Take it too slow, let's seize the day."

Although a sense of gratitude permeates "By The Way," that's not to say Venti doesn't switch it up. The mood takes a more muted turn on tracks like "They Don't Know," but the sonic love remains strong. Venti's enticing vocals blend seamlessly with mellow instrumentals, creating a relaxing yet groovy experience that captivates the soul. Releases like "Stitches" showcase Venti's grittier side, infusing the album with a little edge. Although the instrumentals remain upbeat, Venti makes it clear that he won't let anyone step over him anymore, delivering a powerful and assertive message with lyrics like "My heart has been full of stitches/round here don't make no wishes" and Don't try to hold me down keep coming up / no disrespect I'm falling out." For fans of more traditional edm sounds, "By The Way" concludes with two releases that inch closer to a more conventional tech-house sound on "Utopia" and a club remix of "By The Way." Once again, Venti's versatility shines through, navigating the expansive soundscapes of "Utopia" before the club remix of "By The Way" transforms the emphatic opener into a tech-house spectacle tailor-made for liberating dancefloors. It's a brilliant finish that leaves listeners yearning for more.

"By The Way" celebrates how far Big Venti has come, a testament to his dedication and hard work. Venti's dual prowess is on full display as a singer and producer, delivering crisp production and spellbinding vocals with every release. With "By The Way," Venti invites us into his world, painting vivid soundscapes of sun-kissed horizons and starlit night skies. It's only right that an album by someone whose name stands for "Visualize Everything Now Till Infinity" feels like a gateway to infinite possibilities. Whenever you're ready, tap in and stream Big Venti's new album, "By The Way," available now on all major streaming platforms.

Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Big Venti! Wow. What an album; from the time we heard “Sunset Strip,” we knew you had good things coming. We wanted to ask, what was the favorite part of bringing the vision for “By The Way” to life?

My favorite part of bringing the vision for “By The Way” to life was entering a brand new genre as an artist. I felt like I had a blank canvas to paint on and was in complete discovery mode while recording. This is the first time I sing on an album more than I rap! It’s all about challenging yourself while creating. I also loved watching the sun go down (and up) during my studio sessions in DTLA. I pulled many all-nighters to bring “By The Way” to completion!

What’s your favorite song from “By The Way,” and why is it your favorite?

My favorite song from “By The Way” would have to be Coachella. I probably love nothing in the world more than going to Coachella. It’s the only event that gives me FOMO if I don’t attend. I watched Calvin Harris perform at this year’s festival with my friends. We legit sang along to every word together. It was such a warm feeling bonding with the people I love the most, so I decided to put that special moment into a song…and Coachella was born!

What was the inspiration behind this album? How did you decide on the artistic direction you wanted to go in?

I was inspired by listening to the sounds of my EDM Mount Rushmore: Avicii, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Kygo. I channeled their styles in my artistic direction for this album.

What does music mean to you, and do you have any advice for anyone trying to follow in your footsteps?

To me, music is LIFE. I can’t go a day without it. I can’t go an hour without thinking about it. To anyone trying to follow in my footsteps, I advise creating with no boundaries. You never know where your creativity will lead you!

What’s next for Big Venti? Do you have any more plans for “By The Way,” and is there anything you want to say to your fans?

“By The Way” debuted at Number 1 on the iTunes Dance Chart. That’s a first for me, and it’s looking like my most successful project to date. Although the album just dropped, I believe it will live a long life and will be played internationally. What’s most exciting is the thought of all the big-name DJs remixing the songs. I can’t wait for that! To my incredible fans, thank you for joining me in every twist and turn in my musical journey! This (number) one’s for you!
