Congratulations on the release of "Indigo." It's such a beautiful and emotional track. Can you please tell us about the inspiration behind the song?

Thank you so much! This song means a lot to me, and while I’m not quite ready to release the full details of the story behind Indigo, I will say it’s really just my final statement before finally letting go of a person/situation that left me with a ton of trauma that I don’t deserve to be carrying around. The sentiment of leaving my troubles in the past, if you will.

With such a vetted team of producers, what was it like working with a team of this caliber?

This song was co-produced by Matias and me, but I really enjoyed co-writing with Matias and Vixen. Vixen is an amazing guitarist and contributed a lot to the creative process.

How do you prepare yourself vocally and emotionally for recording a song so personal to you?

Honestly, I don’t. When I write, it’s usually from an emotional place, so I just let it all out on the page and don’t hold anything back. The final editing and recording come later when I am not as affected by the situation. However, if I am writing and recording on the same day, I just let the words express the emotion rather than letting the emotions control me so I can get a good vocal down.

You’ve been compared to artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter but have a unique sound that’s all your own. How do you balance influences from other artists while maintaining your individuality?

Of course, so many artists have influenced me. I have also performed as the lead in over 25 musicals, so I think performing live in front of an audience has really helped me shape my sound along with my own experiences. The reaction of a live audience is incredibly important to me and has helped shape my sound.

What's next for you after "Indigo?" Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re excited about and can share with us?

We’ll have to wait and see… But I do have a show coming up on September 6th at The Mint LA, so be sure to check that out.
