Welcome to Buzz, Alicia G! We loved your new release, “Hey Yo Rodeo." What a fun release! We wanted to ask what the creative process was like for this release.
Thank you so much for the interview. It's an honor. This new song is one of my favorites. The creative process was wonderful. It just flowed and when it came together so easily you know you got a hit!
What was the inspiration behind the music video for “Hey Yo Rodeo,” and what was your favorite part of bringing your vision for the music video to life?
It’s about a girl looking for her cowboy and her journey to find that special someone. My favorite part about bringing my vision of a music video to life is the best. I like to call myself a visionary. Between myself, the producers, and the videographers, we make it happen.
What inspired you to take that initial step to pursue music seriously, and what motivates you to make music now?
My mother and father encouraged me and my fans to take the initial steps to start pursuing music seriously. My love of music and my amazing fans make my vision a reality. I love to entertain, inspire people in a positive light, and, most of all, make people smile. Remember, everyone deserves to be truly happy.
What would you want it to be if your fans could take one thing away from your music?
Something I want my fans to take away from my music is that I’m like no other artist out there. I’m original, fun, and positive. I make you smile, give you that feeling to get up and dance, and just be yourself! The power of positivity can be, do, and achieve anything!
What’s next for Alicia G, and is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?
The sky’s the limit. You never know what I’ll do next! I’m working on 2 new songs and two new music videos, along with a 2025 Alicia G Calendar coming soon, so stay posted!
